1. XBRL is not programming – True
XBRL tags content (financial data) in an open format that makes transporting, storing, and sharing data very easy because it is an open standard, well documented, and structured. Sometimes this documented structure is referred to as a “taxonomy”.

Looks like Imax (IMX.TO) is currently the subject of an informal inquiry by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over its revenue-accounting practices, yesterday became the target of a potential $200-million Canadian class-action lawsuit that could become the first test of Ontario’s new Bill 198 law aimed at making it much easier for shareholders to sue companies and their executives. Here is the article on Globe Investor.

Since Internet Explorer 7 is nearing a full release (currently at Release Candidate 1) we have begun investigating the impact this may have on our product. Our initial look has shown some small things we will have to deal with but nothing that will present any major problems.
We will however be continually assessing and planning our strategy around supporting the latest version of one of the most popular browsers available.
